Solid Ground for Every Decision
Financial Planning Built for the Long View
The moves that shape a retirement or a business sale are usually made years before either arrives, in questions of timing, sequence, and taxes. We start those conversations early, talk each one through until it makes sense, and coordinate with your CPA, attorney, or other professionals along the way.
What We Do
Guidance Where
Decisions
Get Made
The financial choices with the biggest long-term impact tend to be the ones you make only once, like when to retire, how to turn what you’ve saved into income, or how to approach the sale of a business. Left until the year they happen, those choices can get made under pressure and cost more than they need to. We start working on them three to five years in advance, so that by the time each one arrives, the analysis is already done and you understand exactly why.

Who We Are
A Team Unified in Our Vision
The rose rock forms slowly in Oklahoma's red soil and turns up almost nowhere else, a fitting namesake for a group of advisors rooted here and building work meant to last. The three of us worked side by side for years before establishing Rose Rock under our own name, and that shared history is what lets us stand behind continuity a decade out.
Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
These are the questions we hear most from people deciding whether to work with us, answered as directly as we can. Anything specific to your own situation is better handled in a conversation, where we can actually look at the details.
We look several years ahead and connect decisions that are often handled separately. Retirement income, investments, taxes, business decisions, and estate considerations can all affect one another, so we model the tradeoffs together rather than one at a time. We also explain the reasoning behind our recommendations and coordinate with your CPA, attorney, or other professionals when needed.
One of the clearest examples is tax planning. A good deal of financial advice reacts to last year's return, which only records decisions already made. We work the other direction, mapping the coming years so that choices like when you draw from which account, when you move money into a Roth, or when you sell a business are considered before they arrive and in the context of the tax brackets they may actually land in.
We work with them directly. When your accountant, your estate attorney, and your advisor each operate from their own corner, the pieces rarely add up to one coherent plan. We share our planning with the other professionals in your life and build around what they are doing, so tax, legal, and financial decisions are working from the same strategy rather than catching up to one another afterward. If you do not have a CPA or an attorney and reach a point where one would help, we can point you toward people we trust.
No. Your situation is documented in shared systems rather than carried in one person’s head, so the advisor you speak with most often and the colleagues around them are working from the same notes, plans, and strategy. That matters in ordinary weeks when someone is traveling or out sick, and it matters whenever another member of the team needs to step in. The goal is continuity without asking you to reconstruct your financial history every time someone else gets involved.
Our clients tend to be defined less by age or profession than by the kind of decisions they are facing. A pre-retiree deciding when to retire and how to turn savings into income, a business owner a few years out from a sale, and a professional coordinating equity compensation with other goals all have important decisions with enough moving pieces that a standard answer rarely fits. What they tend to share is a preference for understanding a choice rather than handing it off blindly. A short first conversation is usually enough for both of us to tell whether the relationship makes sense.
Bring it. We will read it and tell you what it does well, since plenty of plans are sound and the honest answer is sometimes that you do not need us. When something does surface, it is often a gap rather than an outright error: a decision that has not been modeled far enough ahead, a tax issue considered separately from the rest of the plan, or an assumption that deserves another look.
Your plan comes first, and what you own follows from it. Rather than fitting everyone into the same model portfolio, we let your timeline, your income needs, and your tax situation drive the actual holdings and strategies we use. Depending on the need, that may include income, insurance, or other specialized strategies alongside traditional investments. When your circumstances change, the portfolio can adjust to match instead of the plan bending to fit a fixed lineup.
